Batista surveyed women of all ages and backgrounds about their top 20 and 50 favorite ways of being pleased by a man before writing the book. “What truly shocked me was how I received so many of the same answers from all of these people,” says Batista. “For the most part, women around the world have a great deal in common as far as desires go.”

Unlike some gender-bashing “what not to do” books, “101 Ways to Please a Woman: The Smart Man’s Guide” gives easy-to-read, lighthearted male-friendly advice as to what makes a woman glow. The tips are categorized by “The Basics,” “Very Romantic,” “Hot, Hot, Hot!” and “The Total Package.” Batista’s favorite tips are No. 1 (”Be Honest”) and No. 80 (”Ladies First”) because they “highlight the basic foundation necessary for a strong relationship and the hot and spicy side that is also very necessary.” One steamy secret Batista includes:

The book emphasizes keeping true to one’s authentic self and having a deeper, more sensual connection with a lover. Lenaure Batista is a true New Yorker. Born in Brooklyn and raised in Queens, she studied music at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College. Batista also attended Talented Unlimited and the Fieldston School of the Arts in Manhattan and the Bronx respectively, where she studied musical theater and dance. Today, Batista sings, writes, does commercial voice-overs and coaches as a fitness trainer. She currently lives in New York City as well as Los Angeles and is in a happy, committed relationship. She has written three other books that have yet to be released.
