Instructor-led classroom training is the most effective way to learn - after all, that’s how many are used to learning. However, as the demand for training has declined and as travel budgets have been reduced, training companies have found it increasingly difficult to get enough students in a single classroom to run a traditional class. People also don’t have time to attend traditional computer classes anymore, but still want to receive quality training to enhance their skills. Many also prefer to learn from traditional classroom atmospheres, but can’t due to schedule restraints.
Distance learning, or remote classroom instruction (RCI), is a relatively new form of training. RCI blends the best from traditional face-to-face instructor-led training with the latest in conferencing technology, allowing us to deliver live training to multiple locations at one time. Students get the best of both traditional classes and online courses. Students learn from computers either at their home, office or K Alliance’s training centers. Instructors are teaching a live class, and distance learning participants are also involved in the class, but are at remote locations. The presentation is interactive, just like a “traditional” face-to-face class except that the instructor is in another location. However, the presentation is still 100% live. Just like K Alliance’s other online and CBT courses, students learn from certified instructors from the industry and can choose a variety of topics included in their distance learning library.
