Besides the picture high quality, my favorite feature is that it comes with the software to control the camera and most of it’s features correct from your pc. I really use this feature a great deal, simply because I do product pictures and indoor still life with it. I can set all aspects of the shot, aperature, sharpness, shooting mode, white balance, etc, then control the shutter correct from the pc. The picture loads correct to my pc, I can examine the shot adjust the raw photo or make any adjustments essential and retake the photo with out relying on the little LCD screen on the camera. The liveshot helps even much more simply because I can view the shot live as I am setting up prior to I take the picture.

I recently bought the Rebel XS as a Christmas present for my wife and myself, and we both love it. We mostly use the auto modes. We aren’t advanced photographers. We mostly just take pictures of our baby daughter. However it has carried out fantastic for that. We love that whenever you press the shutter button, it take the photo instantly, unlike with point’n'shoots. And when I wish to have much more manual control, it’s simple. For a beginner, it’s every thing we require and much more. Can’t comment on much more advanced use simply because we do not know sufficient to use much more advanced features.
