Open Source version of popular file sharing and storage application now available on-demand

     

     

iFolder, an Open Source project sponsored by Novell(R), is a simple and secure storage solution that helps you back up, access, and manage personal files from any location. iFolder automatically updates your local files onto a network server and synchronizes them onto other computers you use. iFolder boosts productivity by giving you and other designated users collaborative access to shared files. iFolder keeps your distributed and shared data secure through its use of secure sockets layer (SSL) technology and encryption. iFolder also provides a number of advanced features such as LDAPGroup Support and file merge.

“iFolder is a great tool for sharing files among team members, and for getting access to your own files from a remote location,” says Tom Callaghan, click2try VP of Technical Services. “Combined with Kablink Teaming, iFolder gives click2try users a powerful way to collaborate, share files, and work remotely.”

iFolder enables true mobile computing. Regardless of where you keep your files, as long as you use iFolder, you’ll have access to those files, securely and on-demand. iFolder synchronizes your files, using a strong encryption method to secure them against snooping, and makes them available from anywhere, as long as you have Internet access. You can use iFolder as an automated backup system and access files while traveling or away from your office or home. You can even store Microsoft Exchange PST files in iFolder, giving you access to your personal mail folders.

Anyone can try iFolder at click2try for free. The iFolder server and client are available for use in one combined click2try appliance. Users can share and synchronize files using the iFolder client and can create and configure user accounts, servers, folders, and reports in the iFolder Administration console.
