Open Source version of popular collaboration application now available on-demand

Kablink Teaming, an Open Source project sponsored by Novell(R), is a Web-based team productivity suite that helps users collaborate and communicate across multiple teams. Kablink Teaming is a powerful framework that provides document management, workflow, federated search, and a Web form engine, as well as blogs, wikis, version control, discussion forums, and many other application features.
“We’re excited to provide Kablink Teaming to click2try users as a powerful, all-in-one collaboration solution,” says Tom Callaghan, click2try VP of Technical Services. “As a multi-purpose tool, Kablink Teaming helps us demonstrate that click2try is a viable way to deliver sophisticated enterprise applications.”
Kablink Teaming makes it easy for users to get up and running, by employing familiar social networking features and easy-to-use applications like wikis and blogs. Real-time presence allows Kablink Teaming users to see who’s available, before starting a collaboration session. And Kablink Teaming’s enterprise-scale architecture provides the reach, extensibility, and communication tools to address complex workflow and knowledge management challenges.
“Kablink Teaming is more than online meetings,” said Brent McConnell, Kablink Community Manager. “Kablink Teaming is a robust collaboration solution that provides a framework to help an organization formalize its ‘Knowledge Cycle.’ With Kablink, an organization can publish, discover, discuss, personalize, and extend its knowledge assets to improve workflow, communication, and collaboration. We are excited click2try is working with the community to expand access to Kablink Teaming.”
Visitors can see Kablink Teaming and dozens of other applications at the click2try booth (Booth #312) at O’Reilly’s OSCON 2009 Open Source Convention this week at the San Jose Convention Center, in San Jose, California.
