Chris Carter’s play, “The Lost Stories 2,” takes a look at the lighter side of underground Chicago

     

     

Detective John Slay attempts to unravel a curious case involving mobster Slick Rick, and comedy writer Smiley G. Smiley G foils a bank robbery plot organized by Slick Rick, and Detective John Slay is assigned to protect Smiley G from retaliation, anticipated by the affronted mob boss.

What makes “The Lost Stories 2″ even more unique is that it sheds some light onto present-day issues, such as war, dependence on Social Security, marriage, interracial couples and children growing up in single-parent homes.

Carter’s sense of humor holds his audience’s attention, so that he can make a number of valid observations about life on the wrong side of Chicago.
