Annual competition highlights leaders in the electrical market

Metuchen, NJ, March 23, 2010 — Delta T Alert from Delta T Engineering, a national leader in temperature monitoring of electrical enclosures, has been named one of EC&M (Electrical Construction & Maintenance)magazine’s top products of the year. The competition, officially titled “EC&M Product of the Year Tabloid Showcase,” honors excellence in new product development in the electrical industry. For Delta T Engineering, this means the company will be listed in its special publication, which is polybagged and distributed with the March 2010 issue of EC&M and the April issue of Electrical Wholesaling. In addition to promoting Delta T Alert alongside other key products in the electrical market, EC&M will provide repeated publicity and exposure on behalf of those listed in the tabloid.

“I’m extremely honored by Delta T Alert’s listing in EC&M’s Showcase,” says Fred Baier, president/owner of Delta T Engineering, LLC. “Our device, which is designed to help avoid major electrical failures and significant financial loss, delivers on both fronts. The industry is recognizing its importance in terms of both function and fire safety.”

The Delta T Alert sensor provides daily monitoring of temperature increases within electrical enclosures, transmitting this critical data wirelessly to an onsite computer for analysis. Since launching this patented product to the industry in 2009, Delta T Engineering has landed major clients, including a nationally recognized data center and several high-rise office buildings in the New York and tri-state areas. Delta T Alert has also piqued the interest of two nationally well- known insurance companies.

Thanks to the installation of the Delta T Alert, companies have minimized electrical system malfunction, the leading cause of electrical fire, according to Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company (HSB).

“HSB research shows that lack of proper maintenance is the leading cause of electrical system malfunction,” Baier says. “Delta T Alert serves as a trigger that tips off facility personnel to any system abnormalities, ideally well before any system failure can occur or, worse, a fire ignites. Ultimately, Delta T Alert helps prevent fire, plus all the serious stresses that accompany such a disaster.”
