In modern archaeological circles the Old Testament is generally believed to be nothing more than a work of fanciful fiction. However, one British Egyptologist and Ancient Historian disagrees. David Rohl has proposed that the blind acceptance of now-proven false assumptions has led to this erroneous conclusion. Rohl suggests that several hundred years have been mistakenly added to the conventional chronology of established Old Testament history. This error has prevented archaeologists from finding evidence as to the existence of the people and events from the Old Testament period. In short, archeologists have been looking in the right places but in the wrong times.

Rohl has been an insider in the archaeological world and was formerly the director of the Institute for the Study of Interdisciplinary Sciences. Rohl has degrees in Egyptology and Ancient History and can hold his own against his most vocal critics. Rohl wants to improve man’s understanding of the Old Testament time period but acknowledges that this is perhaps boring to some. Rohl, a realist, knows that the real importance of his work is its ability to change the view of the future - should his theory prevail - because each artifact from the Old Testament time period potentially provides a better understanding of the historical lives and events God chose as examples for man.

Eric C. Conn is a multimillionaire attorney in Kentucky. Conn has made his millions by representing the disabled in Disabled Social Security and SSI proceedings. Conn has also been a regular contributor to several charitable causes concerning assistance for the poor. Conn continues to practice in the Disabled Social Security and SSI field.

Conn believes that Rohl’s timeline theory regarding the Old Testament period has been wrongfully suppressed by non-believers because they know that it supports the truthfulness of the Old Testament. Conn says, “Believers have been mocked by non-believers for years for their steadfast belief that the Old Testament was accurate. Now, David’s theory shows that the believers were right all along.” Conn has offered financial support to assist in the releasing to the public about the archaeological accuracy of the Old Testament. Conn said he is doing this for his late grandmother who never faltered in her belief in the accuracy of the Old Testament.

Rohl and Conn will hold meetings from March 22, 2010 to March 27, 2010.

BEASTS OF THE BIBLE is the latest offering from Associated Producers (The Naked Archaeologist and The Exodus Decoded). For the first time, Biblical scholars, historians, archaeologists, cryptozoologists (krip-toe-zoo-ologists), and herpetologists (her-pet-ologists), guide an investigation into the creatures described in the Bible. It premieres in the U.S. on Animal Planet Thursday, April 1st at 8:00 p.m. ET.

This study results in a thought-provoking and stirring film that will bring viewers closer to faith and clarity in the Biblical text. Creatures such as the serpent that tempted Eve, the “big-fish” that swallowed Jonah, the “snake” that triggered the Biblical exodus, and the four-headed multi-creature angel that appeared to the prophet Ezekiel are hunted down. This special brings greater understanding to the creatures found in the pages of Scripture. Viewers will discover new spiritual insights in this state-of-the-art two-hour documentary.

“In BEASTS OF THE BIBLE we took a fresh, faithful approach both visually and intellectually to the iconic Biblical stories that all of us know,” said Producer Ric Esther Bienstock (Bee-en-stock). “I think audiences will be truly surprised by the information we’ve uncovered about some of the beasts they have been hearing about since childhood.”

Producer Simcha (Sim-kah) Jacobovici (Ya-KOH-boh-vitch) adds, “Did you know that, when facing Pharaoh, it is not Moses that throws down his staff; it is his brother Aaron and, according to the original Hebrew, it did not turn into a snake but a crocodile? Since the Egyptians worshipped the crocodile god - Sobek, when Aaron’s crocodile swallowed up the Egyptian crocodiles, Pharaoh understood that the God of Israel was more powerful than his entire pantheon. All this is lost if the Hebrew word ‘tanin’ is mistranslated as ’snake’ instead of ‘crocodile.’”

Both an intensely visual and cerebral experience, the documentary uses a variety of envelope-pushing 3D CGI techniques to bring the Bible’s miraculous beasts to life in an in-depth historical, archaeological and scientific investigation of their existence. The experts uncover fascinating insights about Biblical animals that have never been told.

BEASTS OF THE BIBLE is multilayered mystery-solving at its best as investigators delve into the origins of mysterious Biblical animals and examine the scientific facts behind their existence.

Shot on location in Brazil, Egypt, Israel, Canada and the U.S., this eye-popping film faithfully narrates Scripture, decodes ancient writings, unlocks the hidden meanings inside the symbols, and uncovers the most famous and mysterious creatures of all time.

“There is truth behind the beasts,” and “mysteries are solved,” the film concludes.

TALKING POINTS

Bible truths unpacked in the film

Translation matters, and gives meaning

The University of San Francisco’s (USF) Internet Marketing online faculty member, Joe Laratro, will present his leading-edge Search Engine Marketing (SEM) tactics, “Bringing SEO In-House,” on Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at the Search Engine Strategies (SES) 2010 Conference and Expo.

USF will be showcasing its online Master Certificate in Internet Marketing program at the SES Expo which will be held in New York City from March 22-26, 2010, at the Hilton New York. “It is the first and only 100% online certificate program that provides the advanced training and credentials one needs to become an interactive marketing expert,” noted Laratro.

Laratro, one of the first 100 certified Google AdWords Professionals, was a contributor to the founding of the Yahoo! Strategic Provider Program, is a certified Yahoo! Strategic Provider Ambassador, and continues to be closely involved in industry developments. In March of 2006, he was one of only 20 professionals invited to sit on the MSN AdCenter Search Council.

“It’s exciting to be able to present the benefits of USF’s online Internet marketing training programs and share our collective SEM knowledge with experienced industry professionals, as well as those who are new to the game,” said Laratro. “For many organizations, it’s a challenge to manage an in-house Internet marketing department. That’s why we’ve worked together to simplify the equation with a single, customizable interactive marketing training solution that’s right for any organization.”

Joining Laratro at the event will be Pete Schatschneider and Amit Sharan, University Alliance brand managers for USF’s online business certificate programs.

Through the USF Master Certificate in Internet Marketing program, professionals can become proficient in all facets of digital marketing, including website usability, blogs, Web 2.0, paid search, media buys, legal, SEO, web analytics, viral marketing, affiliate marketing and social media. The program also prepares students for certification from two of the leading industry organizations: Google Advertising Professional and Web Analytics Association.

Visitors to USF’s Search Engine Strategies Expo booth #321 will have an opportunity to register to win an online Internet Marketing course valued at up to $2,280. Those who cannot attend the show can still register to win a free course at http://www.USanFranOnline.com/SES.*

David J. Levy, JD, CCE, is slated to join the official Board of Directors of the Senior Citizens Bureau (SCB). Levy, who has been a member of the Senior Citizens Bureau’s Advisory Board for 2 years, will join the Board of Directors at their April 2010 meeting.

Levy is a recognized specialist in non-clinical family caregiving with a focused expertise in planning for and support of complicated family caregiving arising from aging, chronic illness, dysfunctional family dynamics and disability. In conjunction with the upcoming SCB Online University, he plans to reach out on a broader scale to educate professionals, families, and caregivers themselves about the issues involved in family senior care - from the challenges of working within a non-existent long-term care system and a difficult acute care system, to meeting the day-to-day challenges that family caregivers face, both at home and in the workplace.

Levy has 20 years experience in the area of non-clinical family caregiving and family caregiver support, and is founder and current Chairman of the American Association for Caregiver Education, Inc, a 10-year-old not-for-profit devoted to teaching and training in the field of caregiving and providing original research on topics such as workplace productivity loss caused by the daily pressure of caring for an aging parent or relative (presenteeism). An innovator in the fields of both aging and family caregiving, Levy was instrumental in the creation of the first Master’s Level Program for Geriatric Care Management, founded at Lynn University.

SingleHop, a leading Chicago-based dedicated and managed web hosting provider, today announced that their unique server resellers system’s Tandem Panel, an end-user control panel which can be entirely white labeled by the reseller, is now available in over 15 languages, including:

Portuguese (Brazil)

SingleHop’s Tandem system was launched on February 10th and has revolutionized the way that servers are resold by solving some of the reseller business’ toughest issues: Lack of control, limited economies of scale, and marketing and R&D budget constraints. As part of the webhosts focus on providing dedicated server resellers with more control, they released the end-user control panel in over 15 languages. All the current functionality and access features of the Tandem Panel will be retained in each of these different language options.

The Tandem Panel is fully customizable with resellers’ logo, brand, colors and image, includes a fully featured help desk with advanced ticketing functions, enables remote reboot and support, supplies server and bandwidth usage information, and is available as a mobile and webtop application. SingleHop is not offering support in these fifteen languages, only the end-user control panel.

“We’re offering the Tandem control panel in these 15 languages because we’re truly committed to fulfilling the Tandem principle of helping our clients have more control and sell more servers,” says SingleHop VP of Sales and Marketing Dan Ushman. “This will enable our reseller clients to better serve and access both new and existing markets. We understand that having this type of control and flexibility has a direct impact on sales and profit, and the Tandem reseller program was designed from the beginning to maximize that control and flexibility — and thus, maximize profits.”

Dan added, “We’re also open to working with clients in translating Tandem to additional languages as needed. Here at SingleHop, and especially with the Tandem program, we believe that we are your partners and allies in growing and effectively managing your business, finding the right tools for your webhosting needs, and achieving your sales goals. If there is something more that we can do to help make that happen, we want to know about it.”

For more information about Tandem, or to sign up for free as a Tandem reseller, please visit http://www.singlehop.com/resellers.

About Tandem by SingleHop

Tandem centers around three principles: have more control, through a fully customizable control panel and the industry-leading LEAP server management system; sell more servers, using SingleHop’s sign-on incentives and free marketing assistance; and make better margins, taking advantage of SingleHop’s industry relationships and customized, Tandem-only deals.
Biffle, well-known in the racing community for building his own house and doing other projects that involve digging, will promote National Safe Digging Month, most notably by featuring the logo of 811, the national “Call Before You Dig” number, on the hood, deck lid and spoiler of his No. 16 3M car during the April 25 race at Talladega Superspeedway in Talladega, Ala.

In addition to the prominent placement of the 811 logo at Talladega, Biffle will serve as the National Safe Digging Month spokesperson throughout April.

A quick and easy call to 811 before digging helps protect people from unintentionally hitting underground pipelines, cables and utility lines, which can put the person who digs at risk and cause service interruptions to entire communities. Every digging job requires a call - even small projects like planting trees or shrubs.

Everyone who calls 811 is connected to a local one-call notification center that will take the caller’s information and communicate it to the local utility companies. A professional locator will then visit the dig site to mark the approximate location of all underground utility lines with spray paint or flags. Once a site has been accurately marked, it is safe to begin digging around the marked areas.

“As a do-it-yourselfer, and someone who is known for being hands-on when it comes to my activities off the track, I strongly encourage everyone to call 811 before breaking ground to have all underground utility lines marked,” said Biffle. “This simple call will help you avoid cutting a cable or electric line, or any other utility for that matter, keeping you and your neighbors safe and connected, and ensuring you don’t miss a minute of action on race day or any other day.”

3M, an international leader in utility and utility locating products, as well as utility damage prevention, was instrumental in securing the collaboration with Greg Biffle, which will benefit all CGA stakeholders by raising awareness of 811, the national “Call Before You Dig” number.

“3M is proud to support National Safe Digging Month and the ‘Call 811 Before You Dig’ message. Our alliance with Greg Biffle creates another way to raise awareness of this important safety issue,” said Rory Yanchek, general manager, Track and Trace Solutions at 3M. “We look forward to the increased exposure this campaign will no doubt produce.”

“The CGA is very appreciative of the support of members like 3M that have a similar desire to keep Americans safe and protect our country’s vast and complex underground infrastructure,” said Bob Kipp, President of Common Ground Alliance. “This partnership provides a great opportunity to promote 811 and remind millions of Americans of their responsibility to call before digging.”

The Talladega race is scheduled for Sunday, April 25 at 1 p.m. EDT on FOX.

Those new to Windows 7, Microsoft’s latest operating system, often find themselves learning through trial-and-error, with frustrating results. But now, thanks to Dream Force, LLC (http://www.videotrainingpro.com), there is a low-cost, high-quality training video set available from one of the industry’s leading Certified Microsoft Office Trainers.

Released this week, the Windows 7 Levels 1 and 2 training videos from VideoTrainingPro.com offer a whopping 11 hours of professional instruction at just under $40 for the DVD. That’s nearly twice the training at roughly half the cost of most other Windows 7 training videos currently available. Users can choose from Flash or Windows Media Video format for optimal viewing, and the videos even include instruction to prepare viewers to certify to Windows 7.

Unlike most Windows training videos, the Windows 7 training videos from VideoTrainingPro.com are taught by a Certified Microsoft Office Trainer. Dream Force President Kirt Kershaw has been certifying on Microsoft products for the last decade, and he uses the full range of his talents and experience — including training large companies on Microsoft products and performing Off Broadway — to make all his training videos interesting, engaging and highly effective.

“At Dream Force, we believe Microsoft training videos shouldn’t be dull, expensive and taught by people who are not actually Certified Microsoft Office Trainers,” Kershaw explained. “Our Windows 7 training videos, like all our Microsoft Office training videos, give the viewer a thorough understanding of the subject at a price that’s affordable for just about everyone.”

The Windows 7 training videos from VideoTrainingPro.com start with an exploration of the Windows 7 operating system and work up from there. In 131 separate video segments, Kershaw explains everything from customizing the Windows 7 desktop to network basics and improving system performance. The videos also take a close look at new features, including libraries, jump lists, desktop gadgets, desktop slide shows and aero effects.

“In creating our new Windows 7 training videos, Dream Force worked hard to ensure there is plenty of instruction suitable for novices and experienced users alike,” Kershaw stated. “We are excited to help people become comfortable using all the robust features available within the Windows 7 operating system.”

The Windows 7 training videos from Dream Force are available for purchase or download at http://www.videotrainingpro.com/Windows-7-Videos.html and at Amazon.com.

Behind a near-perfect offense and a lock-down defense, Team B2G won the prestigious 2010 Badger Sport Elite 7-on-7 Passing Tournament (presented by New Level Athletics) in dominant fashion, March 6th and 7th. Tournament MVP and QB Michael Bercovici (Taft H.S.) threw for touchdowns on 18 of his 19 drives.

Bercovici was especially impressive when completing deep passes to B2G receivers Nelson Spruce (Westlake), Brandon Taylor (Santa Monica), and Gabriel Marks (Venice), who all flashed their athleticism and technique.

The B2G defensive standouts were linebacker Matthew Lyons (Dorsey) and cornerback Thierry Nguema (Corona Santiago). Bercovici, Lyons, and Nguema made the tournament’s “Hot 21″ team. Receiver David Richards (Palmdale) and quarterback Jerry Neuheisel (Loyola), son of UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel, showed off their abilities as well.

The 16-member B2G All-Star Team was selected from participants of B2G Sports’ 15-week Instinct TrainingTM (IT) off-season program, held in Los Angeles, the Inland Empire and Ventura County. The event featured 20 teams made up of current juniors and sophomores from across the Western United States. With this victory, Team B2G advances to the Badger/New Level 7-on-7 National Tournament this July, in Alabama.

The championship win was a major achievement for B2G Sports and its founders, Ron Allen and Henry Bell. “Winning this event is a great reward for our guys,” said Bell. “They’ve all been working hard on their craft since January, and there is more work to come in order to be the best in their class.”

The B2G mission statement is to create football-specific training in a competitive environment. B2G Sports has been perfecting that concept at the skill and linemen positions since 2000. Their success has been remarkable and well-documented. In February, 40 B2G athletes signed national letters of intent to play football at major colleges with plenty more to come in February 2011.

The coaching and exposure provided by B2G’s Instinct Training has taken several young athletes from virtual obscurity into the realm of America’s biggest recruits. Last year, defensive backs Joshua Shaw (Florida), Shaquille Richardson (UCLA), and Anthony Brown (USC) were all immersed in B2G Sports’ training program. They were unknown prospects when they started. No longer under the radar, they’re all graduating seniors, transitioning to the aforementioned elite college football programs.

Two B2G Instinct ShowcaseTM events will be held this spring: May 2nd in Los Angeles and May 16th in Ventura County. Scouts and media will be present to evaluate talent and 65 coveted invites will be on the line for B2G’s Elite Camp held in June. “We expect this year’s Instinct Showcase to be the most intense and competitive B2G has ever seen,” said Bell. “I can’t wait.”

Wizards and muggles alike are expected to descend on L.A.’s latest themed attraction this Saturday, March 20. The Grand Opening of Whimsic Alley will likely draw fans of both the Harry Potter and Twilight sagas. Festivities include a concert by The Remus Lupins, a wizard-magician, refreshments, costumed characters, and more.

When the Santa Monica Whimsic Alley first opened its doors six years ago, it attracted Harry Potter fans from around the world. The themed environment resembled a shopping district straight out of Dickens or a Potter film. Patrons often came dressed in witch or wizard garb.

The new L.A. location is four times larger. A team of Hollywood set designers built the two-tiered wizards’ marketplace. Shops feature wizard apparel, books and quills, magic wands, and designer witch hats. There are curio and candy shops and shops featuring Harry Potter and Twilight branded merchandise.

Yet, thinking of Whimsic Alley as just a store is like calling The Magic Castle just a restaurant. There is far more to see and experience at Whimsic Alley than its variety of wizard-themed shops. Visitors report that, upon entering its doors, they feel they have been transported into Harry Potter’s world.

Guests have often inquired about hosting parties at Whimsic Alley. But the Santa Monica location was too small to accommodate those requests. Now, with a room large enough for 100-150 guests, Whimsic Alley can host not only birthday parties, but weddings, bar mitzvahs, meetings and banquets.

The Great Hall is castle-themed, with floating candles, flame-bearing gargoyles, and secret doors and passages. It is ideal for Harry Potter fans, but equally suitable for fans of Lord of the Rings, Magic the Gathering, Twilight, King Arthur, The Labyrinth, Shakespeare, Henry VIII, and countless other castle-themed events.

Situated along a stretch of Wilshire Boulevard known as the Miracle Mile, which includes the L.A. County Museum of Art, the La Brea Tar Pits, the Petersen Automotive Museum and other museums and galleries, Whimsic Alley may just be the icing on the cake. The other attractions may be more tourist-worthy, but few can boast, as Whimsic Alley can, that many tourists plan their vacations specifically around that attraction.

Families from Russia, Thailand, Italy, Japan, and Australia have reported planning their visits to Whimsic Alley before ever leaving home. Unbelievably, some have flown in from Seattle, Chicago, and even Rio just to visit Whimsic Alley.

Guests familiar with the original Whimsic Alley have likened this new one to Disneyland - minus the cover charge.

Besides party rentals, Whimsic Alley plans to host its own events, such as high teas (including tea leaf readings), costume balls, wizard-rock concerts, and possibly even a wizard-themed summer camp.

The Grand Opening will be Saturday, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Thereafter, hours are Wednesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Whimsic Alley is located at 5464 Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles or online at http://www.whimsicalley.com.

For sport fishermen, there’s nothing like spending a day on the water, casting a line or two. Coming a close second is sharing their fishing tales with friends and family. Now, a website makes it easy for anglers to share stories - and make money doing it.

Launched in fall 2009, WorldsFishermen.com is designed to connect fishermen from across the world. “All they have to do is tell the fishing world what they’re catching,” said Jason Pitcock, site owner/president. The site already has a substantial following, with members from about 15 countries. “Our goal,” Pitcock said, “is to be the largest and most widely used fishing website on the ‘net.”

Topics of recent posts run the gamut from bass and ice fishing to fishing licenses. And the members are passionate about the sport. “Fishing is not my hobby,” writes one member. “It is my obsession. I have been fishing since I was 10 months old.” The members, too, range from weekend anglers to professional outdoor writers.

Site membership is free, and members are encouraged to join numerous fishing networks on the site. Members can search for a favorite fishing network, topic or member. They also can upload images to share with fellow fishermen and send private direct messages to one another on the site.

Pitcock said the site has a micro-blogging format similar to that of Twitter. He explained that micro-blogging consists of short stories, answers, or responses limited to a certain number of characters. At WorldsFishermen.com, posts are limited to 300 characters.

“We also give the average fisherman the ability to run his or her own fishing website, or network,” said Pitcock. He said the network topic is the owner’s choice - it could be a favorite local fishing hole, fishing reports, a state/location or any type of fishing - from fly to deep-sea.

The cost to run a fishing network at WorldsFishermen.com is $1.99 a month or $23 a year. Site owners can generate revenue by selling banner advertisements, fishing directory listings and more. Owners who initiate a network business directory set up their own business listing prices; members who publish business listings in a network pay the network owner directly.

With the purchase of each website/fishing network the user receives a dedicated sub-URL (WorldsFishermen.com/yoursite) and an admin portal for uploading content. For example, Pitcock said, http://www.worldsfishermen.com/wisconsin focuses on Wisconsin fishing reports.

RetirementPlanDaily.com announced that Los Angeles-based SL Reed & Company, founded by Robert Nichols, Ph.D., in 1996, was recognized for its leadership in retirement plan management and compliance. SL Reed & Company was one of Retirement Plan Daily’s highest-ranked service providers of 2009, and the firm has continued to receive excellent marks from its clients.

Since its inception SL Reed & Company has assisted small and mid-size corporations and their employees with fiduciary compliance, retirement planning, and investment monitoring.

SL Reed regularly conducts enrollment meetings, one-on-one participant meetings, investment education and financial workshops for its clients, and its approach has truly paid off. All of the clients Retirement Plan Daily heard from had nothing but good things to say about SL Reed and its management - clients who include known architectural firms, law firms, and aerospace and defense companies. One SL Reed client stated, “Our participation levels have grown ever since you’ve been our consultant and we really appreciate your guidance. You’ve truly steered us in the right direction!”

“We take pride in creating a thorough, well thought out road map for our clients to assure that plan sponsors are always on top of compliance issues, and plan participants (i.e. the investors) always understand where their money is invested,” says director Reed Nichols. “Our compliance team periodically reviews your plan at the corporate level for compliance with regulatory requirements and investment suitability to assist in assuring the plan is meeting its goals and objectives.”

“While there is a place in our industry for aggressive risk taking, that is not our posture. It is our considered belief that one unit of portfolio decline in value does infinitely more damage to the participant’s retirement portfolio than the benefit the portfolio receives from one unit of portfolio appreciation. With these things in mind, SL Reed understands that we must earn our clients’ trust every day, regardless of a wide range of investment climates,” says Robert Nichols, CEO.

To learn more about SL Reed & Company, visit http://www.SLReed.com or call (310) 893-3010.

PRIVATE SHOPPES, LLC announced Wednesday that six new luxury vendors have signed deals to distribute their products through the PRIVATE SHOPPES in-flight and online catalog for private flyers.

Creative Director and Lifestyle Editor Deedee Morrison selected products from Bubbies Homemade Ice Cream, Elan Residences, Heritage Shortbread, Turbosonic, Waggoner Chocolates and Wine Soiree to be featured immediately on the PRIVATE SHOPPES website and in print beginning with the Summer ‘10 issue. Each item has been handpicked to perfectly complement the shopping patterns of the private aviation consumer.

PRIVATE SHOPPES executive David Bannister says the new vendors “are all great vertical category leaders, come from different regions and their products have a wide price range: from gourmet Hawaiian ice cream for $15.00, to sophisticated Health & Wellness Machines up to $15,000. We’re proud to have them on board.”

The range and quality of goods offered by these vendors, from fine, family-made shortbreads to lavish coastal and mountain homes, perfectly match the character of PRIVATE SHOPPES, whose editors have flown around the globe searching for top-choice products and services to offer on their website and feature in their catalog. Both the PRIVATE SHOPPES website and catalog are uniquely designed to match the discerning tastes of the private flyer with the biggest collection of select products, and to allow readers to shop while on the go.

As business aviation activity and demand for charter aircraft steadily climb, PRIVATE SHOPPES and its new vendors are strategically partnering to better serve the private flyer market and drive sales.

PRIVATE SHOPPES is the only in-flight shopping website and catalog targeted toward general aviation passengers.

According to the President’s National Math Advisory Panel, only three out of every 10 American kids are proficient in math, and by grade twelve, it is only two out of 10. Even worse, over 70% of our colleges have found it necessary to offer remedial math classes.

The panel states that algebra is the gateway subject which will enable students to take more advanced math, science, and technical classes. They have concluded that all students very early on need to study and master an essential cluster of basic skills referred to as the critical foundations of algebra. Failure in having done so is the reason for the huge drop in our kids’ upper elementary and middle grades math proficiency. On the upside, statistics also show that students who complete Algebra II double their chances of graduating from college. It is also important to note that in the future, 3 of every 4 new jobs will require strong math and science skills.

This is where award-winning math teacher Rick Fisher decided to step in. He has developed an innovative website, AmericasMathTeacher.com that provides online video tutorials along with fun, easy-to-use worksheets. Importantly, parents and teachers can rest assured that the website teaches the exact topics recommended by the National Math Advisory Panel. Students will master the basics, move through specific Pre-Algebra Concepts, and finally will be carefully guided through Algebra.

Essentially, a student has a personal math tutor available 24/7 every day of the year. Fisher makes each topic simple and easy to understand. Students will learn lots of math and have fun while they are doing it. While private tutoring can be very expensive, AmericasMathTeacher.com is very affordable.

Classroom teachers are finding this dynamic system an excellent addition to their math programs. The site is also perfect for afterschool and intervention programs as well as summer school. One sixth-grade teacher says, “While my students are working through the video with Mr. Fisher, and completing the downloadable worksheets, it’s easy for me to just circulate and monitor their progress. My kids love it! They actually look forward to math! And I know that they are learning the skills necessary for success in algebra and beyond. I can’t believe the confidence and improvement in skills that I have seen.”

Educators will be pleased that the content included in AmericasMathTeacher.com is aligned with NCTM Standards.

AmericasMathTeacher.com has also gotten rave reviews from home schoolers. One home school parent wrote, “We have bought any number of CDs and DVDs to assist in teaching and enriching my daughter’s experience in math. Sadly, most fell far short of their advertised goals and ended, unused, in the trash — a waste of time and money. Then we discovered AmericasMathTeacher.com. Yippee! Finally a terrific educational tool that does exactly what it says it will do. My daughter and I both love the video format — no distracting music or flashy graphics, just clear, step-by-step solid instruction. The written exercises provide her with plenty of practice. Using this system is like sitting quietly with a private tutor. We use it daily and can’t thank you enough.”

AmericasMathTeacher.com will soon be available in a Spanish version. High School Geometry and Algebra II courses will both soon be offered. There are discounts for schools and home school groups.

For more information, visit http://AmericasMathTeacher.com

Julie Zizka noticed that lots of other busy women were having the same problem she was: forgetting reusable grocery bags at home or in the car. After deducing that the solution depended on keeping bags handy, she sewed together a portfolio-like organizer with materials from a fabric store. It worked like a charm, and did the job with style, so Zizka contacted a manufacturer. Soon afterwards, The Tote Buddy (http://www.thetotebuddy.com) was born.

“This is the world’s first reusable grocery bag organizer,” Zizka said. “Many cities across the U.S. have adopted ‘ban the bag’ or ‘bag tax’ legislation. Reusable bags are clearly here to stay.”

The Tote Buddy enfolds reusable grocery bags in a flat, neat bundle, allowing for easy transport on shopping trips to grocery stores, farmers’ markets and so on. Shoppers keep the organizer in the car until they reach the store or market and then place it in the shopping cart. The Tote Buddy organizer reduces the space that would have been occupied by multiple reusable bags loose in the cart.

“I attach my shopping list to the Tote Buddy with a clip so I can easily see the list items, but my hands are free for shopping,” said Zizka. “At checkout, I hand The Tote Buddy to the packers so they have all the bags they need. Then I put it and any unused bags into one of the packed bags.”

Once Zizka unpacks everything at home, she returns the bags to The Tote Buddy and hangs the organizer on the door to the garage so she remembers it the next time she goes to her car. In the car, The Tote Buddy slides easily into a door pocket. Instead of being spread about the car and house, the reusable bags are once again in one convenient place.

“This April 22 will mark the 40th anniversary of Earth Day,” Zizka said. “We’re making progress in environmental stewardship, and reusable bags are the easiest and most inexpensive way for consumers to help heal the planet. With The Tote Buddy, switching from paper or plastic to reusable bags is a cinch.”

As part of her ongoing mission to give back, Zizka is currently considering partnering with a charitable organization in San Diego to host a “tweetup” for local Twitter users. Interested parties can contact her through Twitter @thetotebuddy or her Web site’s contact form.

Zizka’s company, Momentum 1 Products Inc. offers The Tote Buddy in black or a bright floral pattern. Buyers can opt for a Tote Buddy with one black reusable grocery bag for $9.99 or a Tote Buddy Solution collection, which has three accompanying orange jumbo-sized bags, for $12.99. Individual reusable bags are also available for purchase. The company ships internationally, and orders may be placed online.
