
As a Vietnam-era veteran and the father of a son who is now in his third deployment in Afghanistan, Hubbard believes that America is not to be taken for granted, and that a true American should understand and appreciate this wonderful land in which we live. He feels the Great American Dream is fueled by ambition and a burning desire to succeed, but that this country cannot be all things to all people.
Hubbard, who has a deep love for his country, contends that America has been infested by an anti-American element whose goal is to turn this country into a liberal socialist state. In addition, he believes that liberal socialist educators have been rewriting the “real” history of this nation into a more politically correct version. Jon Michael Hubbard says, “We now have several generations who believe that patriotism and ambition are no longer important, while reliance upon government entitlements and adopting a ‘victim mentality’ is what defines many citizens of this country today.”
This book will appeal to patriotic Americans who are determined that the Great American Dream is still alive and who will do everything necessary to see that it survives. It is the author’s hope that “Letters to the Editor: Confessions of a Frustrated Conservative” will help in this endeavor.
About the Author
Jon Michael Hubbard is an Arkansas native who is a businessman, former teacher and coach. He attended University of Central Arkansas and graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam and owned an independent insurance agency. Hubbard is married and has two sons and two grandchildren. He is available for interviews.
