Industry Expert Joins Management Team to Advance Company’s Product Leadership

Mr. Nelson has a track record of success in rolling out products and features that have helped communications service providers increase revenue, reduce cost of service, grow their customer base, and increase return on capital. Mr. Nelson was previously at Excel Telecom in Dallas, TX where he was Senior Vice President of Line Cost and Vendor Management, overseeing one of the largest Feature Group D networks in the nation, with nearly twelve billion annual minutes. Prior roles include serving as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and VP of Product Line Management for Vero Systems in Atlanta, GA where his work on Vero’s Least Cost Routing software saved customers millions of dollars annually while improving the overall quality of their network. Additionally, Mr. Nelson has held executive roles in network engineering, network operations, product line management, translations, and sales support for SourceComm, Broadwing, Cbeyond Communications, and MCI.
Mr. Nelson helped author several early VoIP RFCs and was the primary author on many industry Local Number Portability documents. Mr. Nelson has filed for several patents during his career. Mr. Nelson graduated from Northwest Kansas Technical College with a Telecommunications Degree.
