New York, NY, June 17, 2009 — In this time of great upheaval and change on the planet, notably being experienced as uncertainty and insecurity in America, we are most fortunate for the opportunity to welcome the return visit of Divine Mother Srimad Sai Rajarajeshwari of Southern India, known lovingly as “Amma” to the world. During the month of July, Amma will bring her message of love, tolerance, hope, charity, peace and goodwill to several locations, including New Jersey, New York and Washington, meeting with the public and the elected officials who serve them.

All are welcome to participate in the public events surrounding Amma’s US visit, which marks a significant part of her travels from her home of Mysore in India to points around the globe, including South Africa, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, and England, where people of all races, creeds, cultures and walks of life have stepped forth to receive her blessings.

From Amma’s home in Southern India she fulfills her mission through the overseeing and direction of varied community service projects undertaken by the Srimad Sai Rajarajeshwari Trust which seek to improve the lives of India’s poor and disenfranchised. As part of the many activities undertaken by the Trust, Amma personally prepares and serves food for the villagers in her area, leads programs for the women’s prison and orphanage, and directs a summer school program for the children. In addition, Amma provides medical assistance to thousands of villagers in Karnataka state with the participation of a US-based charitable organization, Srimad Sai Rajarajeshwari Karnataka Projects. From around India and the world at large Amma welcomes all to visit her abode to experience the peace and uplifting of spirit which comes from the practice of meditation, prayer and celebration based upon respect and recognition of all religions and spiritual traditions - all faiths as well as an all-encompassing yet unstructured faith in Divinity.

While visiting the United States, Amma will offer blessings to public audiences in Northern New Jersey from July 5th - 20th for those traveling from across the States to share in the celebrations of her third visit to the United States. There is no fee for attendance at these events and all are welcome.
