STONECLIFFE BOARD MEMBER HONORED AT THE ORANGE COUNTY EXCELLENCE IN COMMUNITY AWARDS

Ray Maclean Honored With Board Member Of The Year Award

Mr. MacLean served on the Stonecliffe Board of Directors for six years as the Treasurer of the Association. During that time, he completely transformed the financial position of the Association, paying off a $50,000 reserve loan and restoring the Operating Fund from a deficit of $58,127 to a surplus of $78,335. Although a small assessment increase was initially required, most of the deficit reduction was achieved through cost cutting and secure investments. In 2009, the assessments were lowered back to their 2005, where they have remained ever since, and the Reserves are now 104% funded.

“It has been a complete pleasure working with Ray. He has been a diligent Board Member and truly has the Association’s best interests at heart,” says Ramona Acosta, Stonecliffe’s Association Manager at Accell Property Management, Inc. “He is well deserving of this award.”

The Community Association Board Member of the Year Award is presented to an individual who has made a significant contribution through a singular effort and promotes a sense of community. The Veteran Category represents Board members serving their associations three to six years.
