San Luis Obispo, CA, March 25, 2010 — Tom Watson, winner of 8 Major Golf Championships and one of golf’s greatest players ever and member of the World Golf Hall of Fame, in conjunction with Tom Watson Productions, announced the release of his 2010 golf DVD series titled “Tom Watson: Lessons of a Lifetime.” The 2 DVD instructional series, which contains 44 different lessons from Tom, starting with the grip and setup through how to control or stop slicing and hooking, will be offered for sale in retail and online stores starting April 26th and is priced at $49.95. Included is a re-enactment of “The Shot Heard ‘Round the World” – Tom’s magical chip in at Pebble Beach to defeat Jack Nicklaus in the memorable ‘82 US Open.

In all, Tom Watson ranks 6th on the list of total major championship victories, with more wins than Bobby Jones, Arnold Palmer, Gene Sarazen or Sam Snead. Tom Watson is one of only fourteen players to have won at least three of the four golf majors and six times has won Player of the Year Honors – second only to Tiger Woods. Tom recently spoke about the DVD project and said, “I am very humbled at the chance to give back to the fans and golfers of all levels the many lessons I have learned in my 50 years of playing this great game. Golf is much more than wins and losses, it is a special game that brings friends, families and countries together. If each person who watches these DVDs learns one thing to make the game more enjoyable, it will make me very happy.”

The DVD series and TV commercial were produced and directed by Terry Jastrow, a seven-time Emmy(R) Award-winner who also produced the highly successful Phil Mickelson DVD titled “Secrets of the Short Game,” which continues to be a commercial success. Among Mr. Jastrow’s other acclaimed credits are Producer/Director of six previous Olympic Opening Ceremonies, Super Bowl XIX, 68 Golf Majors and events including the Indianapolis 500 and Kentucky Derby.

Tom Watson Productions also announced that Competitive Edge, through its retail division Golf Shop Live!, will be the North American exclusive distributor of the DVDs.
