The creative team at Virtual Images, consisting of 3-D artists and 3-D designers, worked with the studio to create visually stunning art that depicts a human skull and shards of glass jumping out of the piece toward the viewer. The 4th installment in the popular Final Destination film series is receiving hype surrounding the self-exacted slogan, “Death Saved the Best for 3D,” and the 3-D movie posters produced to promote the movie fit that bill.
Studios are always looking to connect with movie goers and expand the movie experience beyond the theater — and 3-D marketing does just that. “3-D is the catalyst driving viewers to theaters, and studios and brand managers understand the impact that using 3-D to promote movies and brands has,” said Dave Corey, 3-D Technology Leader at Virtual Images. “The appropriate 3-D storytelling on a movie poster can have a big impact on box office sales, that’s why the big studios trust Virtual Images.”
Virtual Images produced nearly three hundred 27″x40″ Ultra-3D backlit displays for the release of “Final Destination 4,” which are currently displayed in high-traffic theaters across the United States. The 3-D displays have striking depth and capture consumers’ attention almost immediately. Ultra-3D movie posters are offered exclusively by Virtual Images, and offer spectacular 3-dimensional effects.
With more than 15 years experience in 3-D storytelling, Virtual Images is the leading 3-D marketing company for the entertainment market — helping to promote some of the highest grossing movie titles such as “Transformers,” “Batman,” “Star Trek,” “Harry Potter,” “Ice Age” and “Iron Man.”
